Gainsborough Film Competition (Terms and Conditions)

On Saturday 10th October 2015, we launched our film competition in association with Poly-Technic, Trinity Arts Centre and the Back to the Future Project. The competition is all about representing Gainsborough in the present day. We want young people living in the area to make a short film (no longer than 90 seconds) that responds to the following:

Last night, the LOV team were invited to a projection night on Middlefield Lane estate. The projection was a collection of footage Poly-Technic had collected with Dr Ian Waites, of residents on the estate (past and present) and the work they had been doing in the area with the LOV team.

The 'Back to the Future' project is a very interesting concept, to see and hear about the way things have changed over the last 50 years was, to say the least, an eye opening experience. One thing particularly hadn't changed though, the sense of community and togetherness of the estate.

Onsite activity and actions to take place on the green spaces across the estate. A 1960’s dolls house with furniture and a life-size set of a front room will be moved around the streets and be made available for play, for starting conversation and photography.
